Indus is a spin-off from a company owned by Bram, which owns Promatrix. Collaboration was therefore a logical step when the company started and they still enjoy working together after all these years. “Promatrix knows and understands our products like no one else. They really think things through with us, including all the developments our products have undergone over the years,” says Arjan Visscher, Account Manager at Indus.

“Recently, we saw the demand in the market changing. We took those insights to Promatrix. With the help of their expertise, we concluded that the pallet doesn’t offer a complete solution for every customer and ideas for a new product emerged. We reuse the material components that were used for the previous pallet. That naturally saves on costs. Those are the benefits of long-term collaboration; the material is all still easily available.”

Brainstorming sessions

“Of course, a new product like that doesn’t just happen. There were many brainstorming sessions between their engineers and our team. Then you realise how nice it is when they think things through together. We also experienced how flexibly they deal with a customer request. We had a number of last-minute adjustments that they processed for us. That’s how we came up with a great new product together.”

Injection moulding partner

“Besides developing new products, Promatrix is also our injection moulding partner. Only the plastic sub-deck is produced elsewhere, due to its large size. With four heads and feet per pallet, the number of parts that Promatrix makes for us each year quickly exceeds 30,000. Aluminium is considered a small series material, but fortunately it’s also possible for our quantities. This keeps the costs favourable for the high-quality parts we receive.”
